About LEL

Labour Economics Letters (formerly published as Revista de Economía Laboral) is the scientific journal of the Spanish Association of Labour Economics (AEET). Founded by a group of academics—Luis Toharia, Joaquín Lorences, Carlos Peraita, and Miguel Ángel Malo—the journal specializes in Labour Economics and has been published continuously since 2004.

The journal's evaluation criteria are based on a double-blind peer review process. This process is governed by three principles:

The reviewer must not have prior knowledge of the submission.
The reviewer must not have recently collaborated with any of the authors.

The reviewer must not belong to the same institution as any of the authors.

Review Process Description: The entire review process will take place within 5 weeks. If the editor decides to send the article for review, the reviewers will issue a report within two weeks with one of three possible decisions: acceptance, minor revision, or rejection. In the case of minor revision, the authors will have two weeks to make the necessary changes, after which the associate editors will determine whether the article is suitable for publication.
